In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Contact information for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.

Your answers below will become part of your permanent file and will be reported in response to questions about character and fitness from every state to which you apply for a license to practice law. Many bar admission authorities now compare the applicant's law school application with their application for admission to the bar. For this reason, if there is a question about whether to report something, our advice is to err on the side of disclosure.

For any yes response:

1. Submit a statement explaining the circumstances of each incident.

2. Provide a copy of the judgment and sentence of the court, any documents from the college or university, professional association, or armed forces which relate to your answer. These should be added through the supplemental information section under the attachments tab.

You have a continuing responsibility to update your application if the answers to any of the below questions change between the date you submit this application and the date you graduate from UTulsa Law. If admitted, any changes to your character and fitness answers made after application submission may require a re-evaluation of your application and could result in revocation of admission and / or scholarship.

ACADEMIC SANCTIONS: Have you ever been disciplined, suspended, expelled, dismissed, placed on academic probation, or required to withdraw from any college or university?
CRIMINAL SANCTIONS: Have you ever been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of any misdemeanor or felony? Juvenile records that have been sealed need not be disclosed. Omit traffic violations unless drug or alcohol related.
Have you ever had a permanent protective or restraining order entered against you? Juvenile records that have been sealed need not be disclosed.
Are there any charges pending or expected to be brought against you?
EMPLOYMENT SANCTIONS: Have you ever been denied admission to, been disciplined or censured as a member of, or had your license suspended or revoked from any profession/occupation?
MILITARY SANCTIONS: Have you ever received an other than honorable discharge from the armed forces, been dismissed from the armed forces, or been sentenced in a court-martial proceeding?
