Application requirements
Please submit a two-page, double-spaced, typed Personal Statement: The Admissions Committee seeks to identify how each applicant might enhance our community and use his or her legal education to have a positive impact. In your Personal Statement, please describe how your life experience provides evidence relevant to these considerations.
If there is additional information you would like to attach to your application in order to help the admission committee make a decision on your file, please attach it here. We ask that you limit the size to 2 pages, double-spaced typed. Thank you.

- Have you ever been dismissed, suspended, expelled, subject to discipline (including disciplinary probation for plagiarism, cheating, dishonesty, fraud, social media content that you either shared or created, or any other reason), or withdrawn or been denied enrollment in lieu of discipline from any academic institution or organization beyond high school, for any reason?

- Are you currently or have you ever been arrested, charged, cited, accused, or prosecuted for any crime by a law enforcement agency, or have you ever been the subject of any investigation by a law enforcement agency, civil or administrative agency, professional organization, corporation, board, or any other agency (including, but not limited to, the lawyer Disciplinary Board, Attorney General's Office, government entity, law firm, etc.)? This does NOT include summary (minor) motor vehicle violations for which you were given a citation (ticket).
Expunged or sealed convictions or sanctions MUST be disclosed.

- The Admissions Committee requires one letter of recommendation but will accept up to three letters of recommendation.
- If you are taking an alternate test (GRE, JD NEXT) as part of your admissions process, please email admitlaw@pitt.edu and share with us what test you are taking. Failure to do so may result in a delay of processing your application.
Priority Deadline is February 1. To be considered for all scholarships, your application must be complete by that date.
Application Deadline is May 1. Applications submitted by this date will be considered for any available or remaining scholarships.
